Getting to Ibex Lodge & Schweitzer

Whether you're flying into Spokane or driving up from Sandpoint, here is what you need to know about getting to Ibex Lodge.

From Spokane International Airport (GEG)

The drive from GEG takes roughly 2 hours. Route via US-2 and ID-200 directly into Sandpoint, then head up Schweitzer Mountain Road. A rental car is recommended, and winter tires or AWD are strongly advised if you're traveling during the ski season.

From Sandpoint

Once in Sandpoint, it's about a 30-minute drive up Schweitzer Mountain Road. Flying private? Sandpoint Airport is at the base of the mountain road. It's a climbing switchback road. In winter, AWD or a 4x4 is highly recommended. The road is plowed early every morning and chains aren't required, though AWD or winter tires make the drive more comfortable in a storm.

Pro Tip: Sandpoint has full supermarkets — it is highly recommended to stock up before heading up the mountain road, as the village has very limited grocery options.

The Last Minute

Ibex Lodge is exactly one minute from the resort village. In the winter, the free ski shuttle line stops right at the lodge so you don't even need to drive to the lifts.

Arrival Practicalities

Check-in is entirely self-serve via a smartlock. Each lodge features its own garage, with ample additional parking in the driveway, along the road out front, and at the driveway switchback. Ibex Lodge South's garage includes a dedicated EV charger and ski racks.
