Planning a Schweitzer Wedding Weekend
A mountain wedding requires mountain logistics. Here's how couples coordinate the perfect weekend between the resort's venues and our private lodges.
How Schweitzer Weddings Work
The ceremonies and receptions happen at the resort's official venues. Couples book their venue directly with Schweitzer's events team. Lodging for the wedding party, however, is booked separately — and that's where Ibex Lodge comes in.
A Sample Wedding-Party Weekend
Arrive on Friday afternoon and host a relaxed welcome dinner in the South Lodge great room. Saturday morning is dedicated to getting ready: the bridal party takes over North Lodge while the groom's side relaxes in South Lodge. After the ceremony and reception at the resort, everyone can retreat back to the hot tubs. Sunday morning means a slow brunch and a relaxed checkout.
Getting-Ready Logistics
The lodges are designed for wedding prep. Expect massive windows for natural light, endless mirror space, and plenty of room for photographers and stylists to work simultaneously. Because the lodges are fully separated, there's no chance of an accidental first look.
Guest Overflow
The wedding party fills both lodges (sleeping up to 29 guests). Additional guests typically book resort lodging or find accommodations down the mountain in Sandpoint.
For Planners
We understand that mountain weddings take time to coordinate. We can place courtesy holds on the calendar while you finalize your resort venue, process split-billing for different families, and accept blocks up to 18 months in advance. Ready to start planning?
